New members are always welcome at Trim Canoe Club. All new paddlers must complete a Canoeing Ireland certified Level 2 beginner course with the club before becoming a member. The Level 2 course typically takes place over a weekend and is a two day course. These beginner courses are run over the summer months. Register below to express your interest in future L2 courses or click here to find out more about the course.
Those who are already certified Level 2 paddlers or above are also welcome to join the club.
Water levels are season dependent and this directly affects the type of activities and frequency of outings that the club offers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
About The Club
Here at Trim Canoe Club we are perfectly situated on the banks of the river Boyne. The clubhouse is directly on the Boyne Blueway which runs to Bective Abbey. The Boyne and other rivers of Meath such as the Blackwater are steeped in history and boast stunning scenery.
Our disciplines include River Running, Freestyle, Sea Kayaking, Lake touring, and Canadian Canoeing. With such a diverse offering you are certain to find your own niche and paddle friends. The club’s primary activity is river running for enthusiasts and beginners alike. We have regular outings on a variety of local stretches with outings several times a year further afield to Dublin, Wicklow and all corners of Ireland. The club also arranges trips outside of Ireland. Previous trips include the UK, France and Slovenia.
